A tribute to a forgotten story: at the Doge’s Palace in 1004 A.D. the Byzantine Princess Maria Argyra, newly wedded to the son of the Doge Orseolo, on the occasion of her wedding banquet, where everyone ate with their hands as was the custom of the time, took out for the first time a golden fork from a small casket.
This gesture brought a wave of delicacy and from that day on the golden fork became a perfect symbol of elegance and royalty among the princesses and ladies of the court.

The food is excellent at good prices & the service provided by Andrea & Deba as well as the rest of the staff made us want to go back. On our 2nd trip we went there most of the time & appreciated being remembered by the staff who go over & above our expectations in attention & care of the food service as well as the ambience of the restaurant. We’ll definitely go back there anytime we’re in Venice!"
